This page is the single place to read how StrategyAlly works, how your data is handled, and the terms that govern your use of the platform. These disclosures, privacy notice, and terms are provided by CauseAlly, LLC. Please read them before purchasing or uploading any information.
Platform & AI disclosure
StrategyAlly is operated by CauseAlly, LLC and provides an automated strategic planning platform. This tool utilizes automated AI to process stakeholder data and generate drafts. No human consultants review inputs. Data is highly secured, isolated, and strictly restricted from model training.
Every draft StrategyAlly produces is a starting point for human judgment. Your staff, leadership team, or strategic planning committee decides what the plan ultimately says.
Terms of Service Agreement
By creating an account, purchasing access, or uploading data, you agree to the following terms with CauseAlly, LLC.
2. MANDATORY HUMAN OVERSIGHT & BOARD APPROVAL
The User assumes sole responsibility for reviewing, verifying, and formally approving any generated strategic plans with legal counsel or their Board of Directors prior to official adoption.
3. THIRD-PARTY DATA & COMPLIANCE WARRANTY
By uploading donor records, employee details, or stakeholder metrics, the User warrants that their organization possesses all necessary legal permissions, consents, and authority to process this information. CauseAlly, LLC functions strictly as a secure Data Processor.
4. INDEMNIFICATION AND LIABILITY CAP
In no event shall CauseAlly, LLC be liable for any data breaches originating from user-side mismanagement, loss of 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, or regulatory non-compliance. Total aggregate liability is strictly capped at the amount paid by the user during the preceding 12-month subscription period.
5. ORGANIZATION ACCOUNTS & TEAM ACCESS
Each purchase licenses one nonprofit organization, not an individual. The purchasing organization designates one or more administrators who may invite team members to participate under the organization's subscription at no additional charge. The organization is responsible for the conduct of its team members, for keeping its administrator roster current, and for all activity that occurs under its account. An organization must always retain at least one administrator.
6. PAYMENT PROCESSING
Payments are processed by Stripe. CauseAlly, LLC never sees, stores, or has access to your full card number or bank credentials; those are handled directly by Stripe under its own security and PCI compliance standards. By purchasing, you also agree to Stripe's terms for payment processing. Billing events, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are applied to your organization's account based on confirmations received from Stripe.
7. INCLUDED PLAN MANAGEMENT
A paid subscription includes the board-ready strategic plan plus 12 months of plan management: task assignments with clear owners and due dates, progress tracking, report generation, and reminder notifications. Continued access to the management workspace after the first year requires the annual renewal described in the Billing and renewal section below.
8. DATA OWNERSHIP
Your organization owns all content it creates in StrategyAlly, including uploaded files, survey and focus group responses, priorities, SWOT results, generated plans, assignments, and reports. CauseAlly, LLC does not claim any ownership of that content and acts only as its processor and steward. Your data is never used to train AI models, is never sold, and is never shared for marketing. On written request to contact@strategy-ally.com, your organization may receive a full export of its content, or request its permanent deletion from the platform, at any time, including after a subscription ends.
Billing and renewal
You may complete the guided planning process without charge. An annual membership of $588 ($49/month, billed annually) is required before StrategyAlly generates or unlocks the completed strategic plan, plan export, and plan-management workspace. All payments are processed securely by Stripe; your card details never touch our servers.
The membership includes plan management, anytime plan updates, and new plan building. The subscription renews automatically at $588 per year unless an organization administrator cancels before the renewal date through the Stripe billing portal, reachable from the billing area of your account.
Cancellation stops future renewal and does not end access before the current paid term expires. Failed payments may enter a Stripe-managed retry period. Access may continue during that period and expires if payment is not recovered. Stored planning inputs are retained unless the organization requests deletion; previously downloaded documents remain the organization's files.
NDPA Privacy Notice & data processing
You own your data. Your organization retains full ownership of every file, survey response, focus group note, and plan you create in StrategyAlly. Uploading information to the platform does not transfer ownership or grant CauseAlly, LLC any license to use it for its own purposes.
We act as a Data Processor. CauseAlly, LLC processes your information solely to produce your organization's analysis, reports, and strategic plan. Your data is isolated to your account, is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing, and is strictly restricted from use in training AI models.
Deletion on demand. An administrator on your account can permanently delete uploaded files, stakeholder responses, focus group notes, and plan content at any time from the account dashboard. Deletion is permanent and applies to the working copy held by the platform.
Anonymous stakeholder input. Survey responses are collected without respondent names and are labeled only by audience type. Responses are encrypted in transit and at rest and are accessible only to the organizing nonprofit entity.
Advertising measurement. We use Google Ads to measure which searches bring visitors to StrategyAlly and how many create an account. This involves standard web data, such as page visits and completed-signup events, shared with Google; it never includes planning inputs, survey responses, files, or plan content. Visitors in regions that require consent see a notice and can accept or decline before measurement runs, and can change that choice anytime through the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page. Google's handling of that data is described in Google's Privacy Policy.
Your responsibilities. Because you may upload records about donors, clients, and employees, you warrant that your organization has the permissions and authority to share that information with a processor, as set out in clause 3 above.
